Hands-on, highly motivated, self-starter with proven track record to design and develop electro-mechanical, microprocessor based medical instruments. Full scope of electronic system design including system architecture and circuitry that incorporate sensors, low level analogy, ditigal, microprocessor and motor control subsystems. Design must consider EMI/ESD, reliability and cost. Work with small project teams that include interfacing with internal staff and outside consulting firms and/or design houses for PWB and ASIC designs. Understanding of EMC and cGMP requirements for design and test. Successful history of taking projects from concept to design/test and manfacturing. Must be competent technical writer to generate design documentation, (e.g. engineering reports, concept proposals, specs, test protocols, etc) is required.
Responsibilities include designing and optimization of complex electro-mechanical systems. Requirements include BSEE in electrical engineering (MSEE preferred). A minimum of five years experience in embedded system electrical design is required. Will support pump systems engineering issues relative to overall system performance of electronic infusion devices. Involved in all aspects of pump/cassette functional performance issues. Identifying and implementing corrective and preventative action for devices driven by customer complaints. Required: Good Written and verbal English Skills. BSEE.
