Howdy,

Has anyone else seen constant problems with SMTP clients running on
Earthlink.NET hosts?

To wit:

TCP 0 0 204.87.183.2(SMTP) 204.119.177.66(54978) SYN_RCVD
TCP 0 0 204.87.183.2(SMTP) 204.119.177.28(63913) SYN_RCVD
TCP 0 0 198.137.202.2(SMTP) 204.119.177.28(63809) SYN_RCVD
TCP 0 0 204.87.183.2(SMTP) 204.119.177.64(45239) SYN_RCVD

Sometimes they'll have as many as 8 SMTP connections in embryonic state.

So far, postm...@earthlink.net has been pretty uncooperative (actually,
they just ignored my emails). I could just put a black hole in my router
for 204.119.177.0/24, but I'd rather not cut off subscribers to some of my
mailing lists just because their ISP is not on the ball.
