Since ADSL isn't expected to reach my nook on the border of San Jose and
Campbell for quite some time; since IDSL is WAY too expensive for me; since
cable won't hit my area until July at the earliest; and since ISDN is too
complicated and short-lived an investment, I'm in the market for an Internet
Service Provider in Silicon Valley (i.e., within the (408) area code and
without local toll charges) that is enabled for Windows 98's multilink
capability or Diamond's ShotGun technology. It seems like a relatively
inexpensive speed boost for the short term.
The most attractive solution so far appears to be LaunchNet.com. WebRise.net
and Worldkey.net are also possibilities. Does anyone have recommendations,
or warnings from bad experiences. Please e-mail (replacing "nospam" with
"mindspring") or post reply. Thanks!
