where to donate food?

I don't know if this is the place to post this, but I'm looking for a
place in the South Bay (Sunnyvale, Mountain View area) where I can donate
food. I have some canned and unopened packaged food and soft drinks that
I won't use, and I hate to just dump it. There must be someplace that
accepts food donations. Please suggest only local (S'vale, Mtn View, etc)
places.
