Volunteering with your kids

I'm interested in finding volunteer opportunities all around the Bay
Area for grown ups and their children. It can be a one time event, a
seasonal event, or an ongoing commitment.

I'm working on researching a guide for Bay Area families, and one of the
things we are committed to including is volunteer opportunities for
families. The work doesn't have to be specifically to benefit children,
but it does have to be work you can do WITH your children. In other
words, places/opportunities that wouldn't mind babies in slings,
toddlers and preschoolers milling around, and older children working
beside their parents.

I'm having some trouble coming up with a comprehensive list of such
opportunities, and any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
