So I had occasion to be down in the southern part of San Jose, and after some fairly frustrating shopping, my companion had a hankering for some ice cream. We tried this place out because they were nearby, and not a chain. 6061 Cahalan Ave (note: NOT Callahan, as my GPS initially tried to take me to Mexico City).

It's in an innocuous older strip mall, and the inside matches the outside. The ice cream, however, was very good. It was also quite plentiful. They do not skimp on the servings; my "small" included decent servings of two flavors, a chocolate with fudge (I forget what they called it), and "french apple pie," which had both bits of apple and pie crust.

Not an area that we frequent, but I would definitely return. It wasn't my treat that day, so I don't recall the exact price, but I think it was within expectations.

Thanks, I'll email that one to my DD because according to Google maps,
it's 8.2 miles away from her house. :)
