There's credible online evidence (try to ignore the oxymoron) that
Marci's son has reconstituted BJ Bull in Elko, Nevada.

Anyone headed out that way? Please take a look and report back (it's a
little far from Ashland for a casual road trip.)

Thanks!

"Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of
arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to
skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, sidecar in the other, body thoroughly
used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"

No problem. The next time I pass through Elko, I'll try to make a point of
stopping by and reporting back. I see it's located somewhat close to the
Elko Regional Airport, so maybe someone with a airplane could fly over there
to check it out too!

I thought Elko was only known for it's nookie factory
(brothel). Crusing the interwebs I see they now serve pasties
(oggis to the Cornish) at BJ Bull as well.

The Michigan Upper Peninsular (Northern Wisconsin
geographically) is also known for its oggies, havimg been brought
there by Cornish miners.

A true oggie has turnip in it. I love oggies, especially
with beer.

Just to note its tie-in to ba.food for those that might be unfamiliar, BJ
Bull was a local Peninsula institution located for many years in Palo Alto.

I recall he once talked of wanting to move to the desert somewhere.
Unfortunately, a bit far for lunch.

Prior to the Palo Alto location, BJ Bull was located in Old Town, in
Los Gatos.

As a follow-up, it now looks like the owners (Marcie's son, I think) are trying to sell to someone who will keep the business open as it is. See https://www.facebook.com/BJBullBakery/ . But they also say they are hiring, so maybe that's a good thing?...
