Yup. It's good, but a bit spendy.

Indeed I have, and I recommend it highly. When we lived a couple
of blocks away from there (O for the days), I would go there for
a nice solo lunch and then spend a couple of hours grading papers
or whatever. They're happy to have you there, and it's a peaceful
place, either in or out. That was half the reason we joined the
museum.

I was there yesterday, when the museum was free. The soup of the day,
clam and corn, was mostly kabocha squash, but was good and not too
ridiculous at $4.50 for a good-sized bowl. Some of the entrees looked
intriguing, but I wasn't that hungry. I noted that most people there
seemed to be enjoying the Niman hot dogs with a side of a
Japanese-looking pickled cabbage.

That gives a whole new spin to "pan-Asian cuisine."
I'll send you an email to ask what you thought of the cabinets with
mother-of-pearl inlay in the Siam show.

Hot dogs or sausages seem to be mandatory components.

As I've noted before, kimchi and gefilte fish are a fine combination
that my grandparents assuredly never thought of. For lunch I'm having
brown rice, kimchi and sauerkraut, a sort of "around the world with
pickled cabbage." I would have added some chopped daikon but I was
running out of time this morning.
