I used to go there a few times a year, but recently heard of their
demise. They always seems to do good business, so I'm curious what
happened.

As best as I can tell, only the name changed. The menu, staff, etc. seem
to be the same as before.
Have you tried them recently?

Of course, I haven't been there in the last month or so... so a lot
could have changed by now too!!! But I would give them a try. Who
knows? You may have a new favorite!!! (I've only stopped going b/c
it's expensive to go there on a regular basis...)
Cheers,

I haven't tried them recently, but we always go there for Valentines and
my wife's birthday. The status of the corn bread was definitely a
concern. I wish they would have a NY or Rib Eye on the menu more often,
but I'm always happy with the filet or beef ribs.
Anyway, thanks for the update.

It was in the Merc in a review by Himmel on July 16. The Bar and Grill
became an Irish pub with a new name, so Bandera changed its name to
Los Altos Grill. Same owners, menu etc. They're also open for lunch
now.
I think she liked it.
