New bakery, called U Cafe (or UCafe or something) (opened on the 24th of
August, which I only know because I happened on it when I was walking to
our department's orientation that day) on Durant and Bowditch. Best
(freshest!) macarons I've ever had. Soft, light rolls/pastries, both
sweet and savory -- James had the ham-and-cheddar and the
green-onion-and-hot-dog, and proclaimed both to be good. I hear they
also do banh mi, but for now, it's only the ham ones. Also beef buns
that I will try. Also a case of loaves of bread. And I hear they do boba
tea, which is another fave of mine, so I'll try that, as well. Very
friendly staff. Very decent prices.
But really, those macarons! And I'm not even that huge a fan, normally.
