La Mere Michelle, on Big Basin in Saratoga, www.lameremichelle.com, is
a very nice French restaurant for dinner (we had our company Christmas
party there a few years back) but we discovered not too long ago that
they're also open for lunch (though closed on Mondays) and they make
some amazingly good food even though their lunch traffic seems to be
incredibly light.

They do a wonderful Caesar Salad and baked French Onion soup combination
for $12 or so that I can highly recommend. We've been there probably
around five times for lunch now, and no one has been disappointed yet.
They're a bit more expensive than many lunch places, but I would very
highly recommend them if you're looking for a nice lunch with some
excellent French food.
There are menus on their web page, though I'm not sure how current they
are.
