I'm looking for stuffed grape leaves (domata sp?) in the Bay Area as
close to Redwood City as possible. The smart & Final here used to carry
them but no more.

Thanks,
pj

Last time I checked, Oakville Grocery (Stanford Shopping Center) had quite a
nice variety in cans imported from Greece. (Dolmades, by the way.) I think
these are better than the ones currently available either at Draeger's deli or
the Stanford deli. (Oakville used to have some excellent ones made for their
deli case good, but they apparently lost their supplier, and the substitute
they tried wasn't as good. )

Trader Joe's sometimes carries then in the prepared food refrigerated
section. The closest one to Redwood City that I can think of is in
Menlo Park.

There's also one in San Mateo. However, I can no longer recommend TJ's
dolmas; they changed suppliers about six or nine months ago, and they
don't taste very good any more.
