I ate the Chilean Sea Bass, and my husband tried the rabbit. Both dishes
were good -- not fabulous, mind you -- but nicely done. I think they
could work on the presentation a bit; all plates seemed to have been
passed under an enthusiastic parsley mill, but that is a minor point.
We also tried the pate as an appetizer and a chocolate dessert -- all
good. The portions are plentiful and prices range between . . . oh, I
don't know . . . maybe $12 - $20 (which I think is not cheap but pretty
reasonable). We wound up paying $82 (before we added the tip) but we did
drink a nice bottle of French wine which wasn't, perhaps, strictly
essential :> (On second thought, it was.)
Rservations are definitely required on a Saturday -- the place was jammed
and folks were turned away.
All in all -- two thumbs up.
Best,
Kate

I agree, a good meal with service that was attentive but not intrusive.
Just a bit too expensive to make it a "neighborhood restaurant" to be
visited frequently. But then, this is Palo Alto, rents are high.

We went when they opened, around 5:30, and were the first ones there.
It filled up slowly during our meal.
