ba.* Hierarchy Administrator

With the consent of the previous ba.* hierarchy administrator, Ron
Echeverri <ro...@ennui.org>, and with the concurrence of Russ Allbery
<r...@stanford.edu>, the ba.broadcast.moderated Moderation Team:

http://www.panix.com/~babm/usenet/moderators.html

has taken over administration of the Bay-Area (San Francisco,
California, USA) Managed Hierarchy of Usenet Newsgroups.

Control information has been updated at:

ftp://ftp.isc.org/usenet/CONFIG/control.ctl

and at the new home site:

http://www.panix.com/~babm/ba/

The previous site, and control key, at ennui.org is now obsolete.

Please update your local configuration information at your earliest
convenience.

A signed checkgroup message will be sent immediately, and reposted
quarterly, to ba.config.

Comments, questions, or criticisms may be sent to ba-...@panix.com,
which is the default Reply-To of this message.

I take it the correct key was never found?

As long as you're fixing stuff, here's what I've mentioned over the last
year and a half:

1) The document claiming to be the ba.broadcast.moderated charter on the
Web site is a draft, not the final charter in the newgroup message, and
really, the straw poll isn't part of the charter.

2) Was the long-standing problem that I raised repeatedly with
continued use of ba.news.config with regard to the key ever eliminated?
I guess it has, now that I spot the recent checkgroups.

3) Please name the hierarchy on Subject that checkgroups applies to.
It would be helpful if every hierarchy administrator did this. Thank you.
