ba.* Hierarchy Maintenance and Checkgroups Ending

This is an announcement that maintenance of the ba.* hierarchy signing
key and quarterly checkgroups messages to control will be ending. These
duties had been taken over from Ron Echeverri in 2010 by the moderation
team for ba.broadcast.moderated and rec.radio.broadcasting. The
remaining members of this team have decided not to renew their
moderation account at Panix due to low newsgroups activity and their
belief that Usenet is obsolete. The account will be permanently shut
down next month and no control or checkgroup messages for ba.* that are
signed with the current key will be posted after that.

Any questions or concerns until final account turn-off may be directed
to ba-...@panix.com.
