Transmitter status for KQED/KTEH/KQET

a status box on the KQED-TV home page that provides the current
status of their three transmitters and their feeds to cable and
satellite TV services. (I just mentioned to them that DirecTV
and Dish are missing from the KQED info, so hopefully they'll
add those soon.)
You can find the box in the lower-left corner of this page:
Maybe they will later add it to the KTEH and KQET websites,
since viewers of those stations can't be expected to look
for information on KQED's site.

Taking a page from JPB, Jefferson Public Broadcasting in southern Oregon.
They put the status of every one of their 60 or 70 stations and transmitters
on their web page, along with the reasons why they might be off the air.
One classic was, "A tree branch grew in front of the antenna. We're trying to
get the owner of the property next door to cut it back. Estimated fix: May"
or words to that effect.
