Everyone at ALL ACCESS is saddened to report the passing of veteran
radio personality DARIAN O'TOOLE yesterday (4/1), following a long
illness.
O'TOOLE's long career included stops at KSAN, KBBG and KIFR/SAN
FRANCISCO, WMMR and WXPN/PHILADELPHIA, as well as WAXQ/NEW YORK.
No word on services, so far.
Just two days ago I was searching the web to find out where she was,
and whether she was on the air somewhere.
Is there a link to the info somewhere? Google News pulls up nothing.

As I noted on Radio-Info.com (a/k/a Higdon's Home For Bottom-Feeders)
earlier today, I hope that she's not remembered simply for the way her
brief tenure at Free FM 106.9 ended.
Her website, DarianOToole.com, ceased to exist a few weeks ago (the
domain name expired on March 5), and her blog hadn't been updated for
nearly two years:

The last login on her MySpace page shows March 31 -- day before
yesterday -- and her last post there was on December 3:

Wasn't her "long illness" alcoholism?

This is odd. You'd figure that at least one of the 4500 news sources
Google uses would have some news. This leads me to believe that the
original source is not accurate because such news usually spreads
quickly.
Aw, heck. :(
!!Que' Viva La "Caustic Canadian Swamp Witch"!!
Of course, if it's really NOT true, it's one HELL of a promo
gimmick! ;)
Here's the link to the NY Daily News Article (in the middle of the
page): http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/tv/2008/04/03/2008-04-03_its_all_martin_luther_king_jr_all_the_ti-1.html
She had acknowledged her alcoholism, but Shawn Kelly posted on radio-
info that it was respiratory failure while she was hospitalized a week
after breaking her leg. Respiratory failure at 40 makes me wonder if
she had asthma or something congenital with her heart or lungs.
I suppose better late than never....

Also, here's some people who apparently knew "back when"...

suppose there are any Jews in Nova Scotia.
