Our kickoff call for the open badges campus policy document took place last Thursday (August 7). We were lucky enough to have representation from campuses around the world on the call. Many thanks to those who were able to attend the call and to those who have contributed to the document. .
3 notes and 3 requests about our continued collaborative efforts for the campus policy document:
3 Notes
- The aim of the collaboratively created campus policy document is to serve as an example of an open badges campus policy document. For that reason it will be as generic as possible.
- The collaboratively created campus policy document will address some of the content listed in the outline but not all of it.
- The outline should remain in outline form (pgs 3-5). We will flesh it out on the following pages. Consider it an executive summary of the areas to be considered in the construction of a campus policy.
3 Requests:
- When adding content to the document, aim for a generic approach so that others may use this document as a policy framework.
- Include specific content / links to your own org's policy work as addenda. We will have a section of campus policy examples.
- Please continue to add your thoughts and content to the document!
This etherpad captures the brief notes that we took during our synchronous call. We're now in weeks 3 and 4 of our schedule where we work asynchronously on
the google doc. Look for a doodle poll in the coming week to schedule our next synchronous call.
The development of a collaborative document is an exciting and dynamic process: your continued input is profoundly meaningful and valued. Many thanks to you all for helping to build an important open badges tool.
Best,
Carla
