In response to the question, "If we could improve one thing in the Big6 webinar series or
ebook, what would it be?"
webinar participants asked:
Q: "Improvement can be made with the time set as these time were
inflexible and clashed with other duties."
A: That's why we record the webinars, so you can view and listen at a time that's convenient for you.
Q: "Are the information/recorded sessions are going to be
available to attendees after the webinar comes to an end?"
A: Yes, they will.
Q: "More time to explain info and one guest speaker for more comprehensive
explaining."
A: That's the purpose of the discussion group: to allow you to ask questions and request more detail.
Q: "More general lesson plans."
A: Share yours! If we all share in the discussion group, we will all gain from each other's ideas and implementation. There's a lesson plan template in an
earlier message or look at the templates on the Big6
Google site.
Q: "An idea of how to
structure the arc of info lit instruction from k-12 would be useful. I
would like to have identifiable 'capstone' projects for each grade."
A: See Montana's
Essential Learning Expectations for Information Literacy. It's a great example of sequenced grade level objectives that shows how an information literacy instructional program might be designed and implemented.
