Populace Meeting Announcements – 4/19/2023

• Lilies
  • We are seeking a coordinator for the B3R party at Lilies. Jack will be in charge of the brewing.
  • We are seeking a coordinator for the B3R gate day at Lilies.
  • If interested in either position, please contact Their Excellencies and/or our Seneschal.
• Their Excellency, Yseult de Michel is looking for someone to assist running Youth activities at Crown in June. The individual does not need to be background checked.
• Site dinner:
  • Ellien will be hosting the May site dinner. The theme will be potatoes.
  • There will be no site dinner in June due to the number of other events.
  • July site dinner will be combined with Birthday Bash and held on July 12 (a week later than our normal first Wed of the month). It will be hosted by the Officers of the barony and the theme will be all things birthday.
  • August site dinner will be hosted by Kenda and her household.
  • September site dinner will be the fighter BBQ.
• The seneschal thanks all officers for turning their reports in on time.
• Lord Carrek Dama’n was selected at meeting tonight to be the new Minister of Arts & Sciences. No deputy was selected at this time.
• Melchor taught a class on the geometry of greatsword.
• Sancha taught a class on basic tunic construction.

  • April 22: Unslung Heroes in Excelsior Springs, MO
  • April 29: Queen’s Prize in Manhattan, KS

Just to tag along on the announcements, We need Fighters at the Wildwood Middle School DEMO on this Friday (April 28th). The lecture portions of the demo start at 8am but the Fighting MELEE is scheduled 10-10:30 AM. If you are not also lecturing (which happens 8AM to 10:30), then arriving for suiting up by 9:30 would be great.  

Please let us know if you can join us. The 200 blood thirsty 6th graders really enjoy this melee/demo. Both Rattan and Steel fighters needed.

Of Course I put out an announcement and get the times wrong. The MELEE IS 10:30 to 11:00. Arrival by 10 AM ideal if only joining the fighting section.
