B14 Class Proposed Carbon Fiber Boom Rules change - Member's Vote

Dear B14er,

At the Worlds in Sydney, competitors voted by show of hands to agree in principle for a technical group to look at design, specification and likely costs for a carbon boom.

This work has been undertaken and reviewed by World Council. In keeping with the constitution of the B14, we have now sent out details and a voting form to all current paid up members of the B14 Class Association.

If approved by ballot, the revised boom will be licensed for use from July 2026 onwards (i.e. after the 2026 Worlds) for use at any B14 open, traveller or national/international event.

If you think you are a current member but haven't received the email, please get in touch (reply to this or msg Wattsy) and we can check and forward the voting form.

Or if you have just forgotten to renew membership for this year, it's not too late to do so and still vote! The ballot closes on 31st Dec 2025.
