As for the film Hellraiser that tries to present a simple setting to scare the audience loses itself in any type of story line but the special effects visual experience can shock a viewer. With its unique creative villains that do stage a nice haunted house thrill ride the Clive Barker inception does pass the grade in one acceptable level to the gothic genre. Hellraiser should only be considered an amusement entertainment experience from a writer named Barker. Hellraiser does raise the dead and that does give goose bumps.
