B/ IAS Night of 1000 pumpkin planning meeting Tuesday the 13th

Hello Everybody,
Please come join us at 6pm on Tuesday the 13th at the Burien Community Center in room 11.   We are planning our last event and we want to go out in style and we really really need your help!!!

I know Sunday November 1st is the day after Halloween and the Hive Mind party but we know you can party for a full weekend!  The event is from 3:30pm - 11pm on the B/ IAS site.

We need lots of volunteers for the event especially a couple of people who can run the pumpkin carving booth.  The goal is to fill the site with 1000 carved and lit pumpkins so this will be a busy area!!!    And don't worry cause King County Solid Waste is donating compost bins to us so they will all get composted and probably make some elephants really happy....

We are also building a couple of surprise pumpkin games... for example... Slingshot pumpkins !!!!   We will need help building and running these events also!

We are going to have a cemetery filled with artist painted coffins,5 Ofrendas (altars) and one community altar so start thinking about what you would like to add to the community ofrenda.   Along with face painting, 2 Mariachi bands (one that has 16-20 musicians), Pyrosutra is performing and Incunabulum will be making an appearance and lots and lots of pumpkins!!! This is no small affair and we would love your help! 

And besides general volunteering if you are good at making paper flowers or know how to make sugar skulls or anything that might add to the event please let us know, if you can't make it to the meeting but can volunteer and participate just email us!

Thanks to everyone who has helped make the Interim Art Space happen, it has been a great success and we hope you can help us create and celebrate in one last amazing event!
