RVCC Notes and Reminders on October 27, 2024

Dear and wonderful RVCC,

We’ve got 8 rehearsals left until our concert!  It’s exciting to hear all of the progress in tone, diction, and beauty!   The musical and friendship progress at the Fall Retreat has really given us a boost.

Here are the Notes and Reminders for this week:

·       The Krispy Kreme fundraiser ends tomorrow.  I hope that everyone who participated, has had great responses! 

·       The RVCC Little Singers Class for pre-K and Kindergarten students begins on November 11.  The Little Singers flyer is attached.  Please share it with friends who have pre-K and K children.

·       The 8^th Annual RVCC Community Sing-A-Long at the Taubman Museum is on Saturday, December 7.  All choristers sing!!  The information sheet is attached.  Please invite your friends!

·       It’s not too early to invite friends to our 38^th annual Holiday Concert on Saturday, December 21 with concerts at 1:30 and 4:00.  We expect (and hope for) two sold out audiences so please get your tickets early!  Many parents like to attend both concerts or have a family member at each concert.  Ticket prices are $23 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under.  We have two concerts (1:30 and 4:00) on December 21 and they’re both the same music except that the Little Singers participate in the 1:30 concert only and not at the 4:00 concert.  Everything else is the same. The Parent Choirs sing at both concerts and can wait in the lobby for your time to sing if you don’t want to buy tickets for 2 performances. It’s a wonderful event and celebration to invite friends and family to.

·       Naturally colored hair for concerts. Please plan ahead!

·       Junior C Choir will begin on November 4.  The Junior C Choir is open to 7^th grade and above who would like the experience of singing one song with the Concert Choir at the concert.  Sign-ups will be at the attendance desk tomorrow.  The information sheet is attached.

·       Parent Choirs for the Holiday Concert!  We LOVE this beautiful tradition in the RVCC.  Parents and Grandparents singing with their chorister.  The A B B+ Choirs sing “What A Wonderful World” and the Concert Choir sings “Christmastide” with parents, grandparents and alumni.  The information sheets are attached.  Sign-up on November 18 or 24.
