Opinion for the problems in the drake equation.

The Drake Equation states that there are 20 detectable civilizations in the Milky Way alone. But in the last few years, we have discovered there is more to the elements of creating life,  Like when water was found spewing out of Europa the moon and the simulations showed that a gas planet like Jupiter is crucial for the survival of Earth. Which aspects do you all think are added to this type of equation? Along with most of the aspects given, the habitable zone is not really relevant, as moons in orbit with large planets can get heat and get a temporary magnetic field like Titan does with Saturn. What aspects or factors do you all think?
