Hi, I'm keen on having a viewing in my community which is in Bidadi 26th Jan to see the alignment of planets. But I don’t have a telescope. Is anyone with a telescope willing to travel to help with this ? We will help with transportation.
An alternative would be to buy a telescope but I’m not sure which one to buy to view all 9 planets and beyond. And I don’t want to do this in a hurry.

Appreciate your help and response.

Thanks
Megha

There is nothing special about Jan 25th. Even today (and from the beginning of the month), planets have been visible at the same time. For the next 15 days, you can continue to see them.
You have several options.
1. BAS is conducting a star party in Coorg this weekend. You can join that.
1a. There are also several third party commercial ventures who are conducting sky watch sessions closer to Bangalore. But I don't want to name them here.
2. Next week, IIA might conduct a sky observation session. It has not been announced yet. So, watch out for the announcement.
3. Every 1st Sunday of the month, JN Planetarium conducts "Know your stars" followed by a sky observation session. You can see the planets there.

Thanks and Regards,
Keerthi

Ok. Thanks for the useful information. Can you please DM me the third party private ventures conducting skywatch sessions? Also where would the IIA session be announced? Thanks.

IIA is conducting sessions on 24th and 26th. But registrations are already full.
There will be one more on 31st along with BAS. It hasn't been announced yet. But I think it will be free for all, without a need for registration.
In the first week of Feb, BAS will also conduct some more sidewalk astronomy sessions. Will announce the details as the plans concretize.

Thanks and Regards,
Keerthi
