Respected Sir/Madam,

One of the known Government High School, Devalapura, Kampli Taluk, Ballari District.
On the occasion of National Science Day, 28th February 2026 (Saturday), the school is organizing a Star Gazing Evening program to inspire scientific curiosity among rural students. Since the HM who happens to be my friend, Mr. Nanda Kishore is known to me personally. We kindly request your esteemed organization to depute a knowledgeable resource person along with the telescope setup to guide the students through an interactive session on astronomy, night sky observation, and the significance of space science.

The school has a total strength of 200 students, and this program will greatly enhance their experiential learning in science. Many of these students come from rural backgrounds and have never had the opportunity to observe celestial objects through a telescope.

We request your support in making this event memorable and educational. Kindly let me know your availability.

Looking forward to your positive response.

Thanking you.
Warm regards,
Dr. Gururaj P

Dear Sir/Madam,

Greetings.

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to kindly follow up on my earlier communication regarding our request for a resource person and telescope support for the National Science Day celebration on 28th February 2026 (Saturday) at Government High School, Devalapura, Kampli Taluk, Ballari District.

The school is organizing a “Star Gazing Evening” program to inspire scientific curiosity among nearly 200 rural students, many of whom will be observing celestial objects through a telescope for the very first time. The session is planned as an interactive engagement covering basic astronomy, night sky observation, and the significance of space science.

The Headmaster, Mr. Nanda Kishore, is personally known to us and is highly committed to making this initiative meaningful for the students. We strongly believe your esteemed organization’s support would greatly enhance the impact of this event.

Kindly note that local travel and hospitality arrangements for the deputed resource person will be taken care of by us.

We sincerely request that you consider supporting this educational outreach initiative and kindly confirm your availability at your earliest convenience.

Looking forward to your positive response.

Warm regards,
Dr. Gururaj P

Hi Team,

Our heartfelt thanks to Mr. Sudhash and Mr. Praveen Kulkarni, volunteers from Bangalore Astronomical Society, for traveling all the way from Bangalore to Government High School, Devlapura, Kampli Taluk, Ballari District, to support our Star Gazing / Sky Watch program. Your effort in bringing the 10-inch telescope and patiently guiding students and villagers to observe celestial objects made the evening truly magical and educational. It was wonderful to see not only school children but also villagers experiencing the beauty of the night sky—both through the telescope and with their naked eyes.

This program, organized by the non-profit organization Academy for Creative Computing (ACC), a wing of Vidyadhare Foundation (R), became a memorable scientific outreach initiative because of your dedication and passion for astronomy on the occasion of National Science Day.

Special thanks as well to Mr. Vishwanath for helping coordinate with interested volunteers and for supporting us in making this event possible.

After speaking with the school Headmaster, he was truly delighted to witness the overwhelming positive feedback and enthusiastic response from both students and villagers.

We deeply appreciate your commitment to spreading scientific temper and curiosity among rural students and the community. We look forward to organizing many more such volunteering programs with the support of BAS Volunteers across government schools in the coming days.

Regards,
Dr. Gururaj P
