Hi all,

I recently became a member of Azuon as, living abroad, I fly quite
often.
Unfortunately though, I've experienced that Azuon is not showing all
the travel options. I searched for a flight Dublin/Rovaniemi return.
Unfortunately I couldn't find something suitable and cheap at the same
time.
I then tried on Skyscanner, and then I double checked on the Ryanair
an then Air Baltic websites. These options do exist and, I booked the
flights.
This is what I found:

Thu 17 Mar 2011
07:40 DUB Dublin Ryanair FR112

09:10 LGW London Gatwick 1h 30
Connect in airport 4h
13:10 LGW London Gatwick airBaltic BT652

17:50 RIX Riga International 2h 40
Connect in airport 1h 20
19:10 RIX Riga International airBaltic BT1367

22:00 RVN Rovaniemi 2h 50
Sun 20 Mar 2011
07:20 RVN Rovaniemi airBaltic BT368

09:30 RIX Riga International 2h 10
Connect in airport 1h 45
11:15 RIX Riga International airBaltic BT661

12:30 DUB Dublin 3h 15

I haven't found any of these options on Azuon, despite you're using
the same air companies. These two travel options were the more
suitable for me.
I therefore think Azuon is not reliable as it doesn't show all the
options that these air companies can offer.
Furthermore, you have to pay for Azuon, while Skyscanner is completely
free.

Hi Monica,

I'm not sure what your problem might be, I have successfully found a
Dublin/Rovaniemi return flight using Azuon, which seems to be cheaper
than what skyscanner found to you.

What you found costs 27.99+61.86+94.90+39.28+54.40=278.43 EUR

What I have just found using Azuon:
Ryanair Dublin (DUB) London (Stansted) (STN)
Thu, 17 Mar 06:25 Thu, 17 Mar 07:45 13h 35 15.99 EUR
Ryanair London (Stansted) (STN) Tampere (TMP)
Thu, 17 Mar 12:30 Thu, 17 Mar 17:10 33.23 EUR
airBaltic Tampere (TMP) Rovaniemi (RVN) Thu, 17
Mar 20:40 Thu, 17 Mar 22:00 32.39 EUR
airBaltic Rovaniemi (RVN) Hamburg (HAM) Sun, 20
Mar 07:20 Sun, 20 Mar 12:55 11h 50 73.63 EUR
Aer Lingus Hamburg (HAM) Dublin (DUB) Sun, 20
Mar 16:10 Sun, 20 Mar 17:10 86.61 EUR
This is altogether 241.85 EUR.

So Azuon finds a cheaper route than skyscanner, is it a problem?

Could you attach an XML file from your search query? This may help to
check what you configured somehow else than me.

You are right that skyscanner is free, but there are some differences
compared to Azuon.
E.g.
you can configure a lot more things using Azuon <-> there are only a
few settings in skyscanner;
skyscanner uses cached fares so it's not sure that what you see is the
real price <-> Azuon gets the fares directly from the low cost
airlines websites;
and there are a couple more.

Of course it may happen that Azuon does not show all the routes that
skyscanner does. This is mainly because Azuon is under development, so
with donating a small fee, we are supporting the developers, who try
to make it more "clever".

Best,
Csapszi

Hi Csapszi,

You're not sure what the problem might be, so I'm repeating myself as
Azuon doesn't show all the travel options of the air companies that it
normally has.
I actually spent 236 euro on Skyscanner and I can confirm that the
prices shown were real as, like I said, bought the ticket in the end.
And on the way back I got good connections with Air Baltic so that I
have to travel for a few hours instead that all day long.
Maybe I can configure something more on Azuon, but then if it's not
working...
Anyway I can send you the files sure, thank you for your help. I sent
this to the email I found on Azuon website as well. Do you work for
them?

Hi Monica,

No, I don't work for them, so I haven't received the email you sent;
just try to help you.

Hi Monica

I have checked the files you sent, though they are CSV files (=search
results), not the XML file (=search settings). I need the XML file of
your search to tell you what was the problem with your search
settings. The only thing I could do now is to guess, and my best guess
is that you need to increase the number of stopovers from 1 to 2
(check Multileg tab).

I can find exactly the same outbound flight that you mentioned here
was found by Skyscanner:

"Thu 17 Mar 2011
07:40 DUB Dublin Ryanair FR112
09:10 LGW London Gatwick 1h 30
Connect in airport 4h
13:10 LGW London Gatwick airBaltic BT652
17:50 RIX Riga International 2h 40
Connect in airport 1h 20
19:10 RIX Riga International airBaltic BT1367
22:00 RVN Rovaniemi 2h 50 "

However, I was unable to find the inbound flight that you mentioned
because this flight does not exist on Airbaltic website either
(anymore?).

Take care
Oboje
