We will be kicking off the walking T-Hunt season at Desert Breeze Park on Saturday, October 19 starting at 9:00 AM.  This T-hunt will be in cooperation with the BE-HIP "HiPPIES" (Hams In Parks) who get together once a month for some fun portable operating and socializing. We will be hosting Scouts for the Jamboree On The Air (JOTA) so it will be a great day for everyone to come out and enjoy several different ham radio activities and also give these young people a chance to try out ham radio fun.

Radios Under Sun Shade (RUSS) will also be participating to relate the fun, facts, and usefulness of ham radio while exercising emergency communications via simplex and off-grid power.

We will have the T-Hunt along with VHF and HF portable communications (both phone and CW) set up for the Scouts, other hams, and passers by to enjoy and learn more about Amateur Radio. Should be a great day of ham radio fun!

We have reserved the Palo Verde Ramada for this event. Enter the park off of Desert Breeze Blvd by proceeding north (past the fire and police stations) from Chandler Blvd.

Hope to see everyone out there next Saturday! As always we will have loaner equipment and plenty of assistance. No experience or ham licensed required!

Click here to learn more about BE-HIP, as with T-hunting, all are welcome!
