I'll be flying in from Minnesota, so I'm not (yet) connected to fellow riders during that week.  If there is an opening to join one, let me know - or if there are others who want to join me and form a team, let's do that.

I'm 69, have been riding over 6,000 miles per year, and have completed the rouleur each of the the previous four years (so I've got some experience with Dart rides).  Maybe there is an interest in forming a team of those over 60, or those from the frozen north, or some other shared trait.  Maybe there is already an opening on a team already being formed.  Let me know.

I was going to submit a posting like this, but you beat me to it.

I, too, am looking to join or form a team. I'm not familiar with cycling in Phoenix, but one of Mike's sample
Dart routes -the Highland Tour- interests me, mostly because I like climbing and the track looks crazy interesting.

I am willing to 'captain' a team, since that looks like it mostly requires coordinating the route with Mr. Sturgill and
some other minor administrative stuff. How hard can it be?

I don't care if the team has a theme, though FWIW I am > 60 yo.

So, Randy, if the Highland Tour route interests you and we get another rider, then we have a team.

Cheers,
David Horwitt

David, I had yet to look for a route.  I'm not looking for more climbing, but it seems most of the Dart options have a good amount of it, so I'm open to the Highland course.  I do think it is wise to have more than three on a team (preferably the full five) -- just in case someone can't arrive or finish. (I've seen that happen.) We get credit only if a minimum of three complete the ride.  But getting to three is the first step. --Randy

I’m even older and looking for a team!  I used to be a decent climber but not as much these days.

Dave T -- Thanks for responding.  I suggest we wait to see how many reply over the next few days.  Perhaps we'll find some who want to form a team for climbing and another for 'masters' who want a more relaxed route.  Anyone interested in either option, please respond.

I heard from a Colorado team who are willing, it seems, to drag me up mountains with bungees, the only requirement being that I be upright on two wheels vs two feet.

Dave.

I also am looking to join a team.  66 years old, and I ride an ElliptiGO (a standup bike that pedals with an elliptical motion). I live in the Phoenix area and have ridden on several RUSA Arizona rides in the past year.  I am open to most of the available route options.  Looking forward to this!

I am also older (coming up on 70). I used to love climbing but as life has evolved I am not in the shape I used to be in so am also slower. I would love to join a team for the “flat” route.

Randy,

Count me in on your "over 60's" team if it comes together!

So we have three confirmed, and maybe a fourth, for a team of over 60s.  We'd like to get to five confirmed, so if you'd like to ride with 'master' riders, please post here.

Just to confirm, I have Barbara and Steven agreeing to join me to form a team.  We would like to add at least one more and ideally reach the full five.  We plan to take a route with only modest climbing.  We won't discriminate against anyone under 60 who would like to join us. ;-)  So again, post here or send an email if you'd like to join our team.

(Steven, I sent you an email, but the only response I've seen from you was your post here.  Did you receive my email?  As a team we probably should be responding to each other by email instead of here.)

Randy,
I did receive your email however when I try to send you an email, my email program says it is unable to send it to your address.  I tried with different devices, and tried sending a new email rather than replying to the email you sent. I Double checked the email address is correct.  At that point I gave up🥹

Hi Randy,
I received your email and just posting on here to to confirm I have signed up for the event.  Can I join your team even though I am NOT over 60???
