Hello
Randos!
While you're sitting by your fireplace or coal stove trying to
stay warm, check out what's been happening in The Valley of the
Sun. There are some major updates now available for all
interested riders and participants of AZ Randos' events. Here is
what's now available:
All events are open for registration!
See www.azrandos.com for
all the options and details.
Rouleur Week has an Interested Rider
list available, and is currently heavily populated. Check it
out HERE
and see which of your friends you want to join. Please add
your name if you would like future updates.
A new Google group [AZR-TEAMS]
has been created. This group may be used to find riders for
your team and to collaborate about routes. All riders on the
Interested Rider's list have been sent an invitation to
join. If you also want to join, or if you didn't receive an
invitation (check your spam folder), then:
The Desert Dart Pop PAGE
now lists some RWGPS routes that teams may use as their
starting point for a route if they don't want to create their
own. Each of the routes presented contains a suitable location
for the 25km / 2 hour (mandatory) control.
All the information regarding the
events offered, things to do, getting here, rooms blocked,
and what's included may be found on the INFO PAGE.
Regarding the block of rooms - We have
20 rooms blocked and there are currently 13 remaining. These
rooms will be released to the general public on Jan 12th. If
you want a room, you should book it soon. Details of how to
book are on the Info Page linked above.
You may register for each event
individually, or you may register for any number of them at
one time. The newly minted registration system allows you to
select your desired events, loop thru waiver completions,
then pay once for your choices. There is also a fee cap if
you choose all of the events.
Feel free to share this info with your
friends and local groups if you think there is interest.
I will answer all the questions
contained on the Interested Rider list on this new azr-teams
group.
Have more questions? Shoot me
an email.

Hello randos!
Mark your calendars. Make your reservations early. Bring your
sunscreen.
Feb 11-16, 2026: Arizona
Randonneurs will be hosting a week of cycling that I
think you'll want to attend. February in Phoenix has some of
the best weather in the country. Put your studded bike tires
away and come join us for some cycling fun, and a BBQ. You'll
get a cool patch in a single week, and a special item only
available in AZ! We'll be hosting an entire Rouleur Series
with routes of 100k, 125k, 150k, 200k and a Dart Pop. We will
also have a bonus day of riding on President's Day for those
who cultivate their tan lines a bit more before heading home.
I've put together a page which describes the events, what's on
tap, lodging, getting here, and lot more. Check it out and see
if this sounds like something you'd like to attend.
