Mom is Luzia da Payvia (Paivia). The page is folded on first letter of the last name. I don't see another R on the page, but I do see some Bs and the bumps are kinda big and I would think if it was an R, that top loop/bump would be more visible. I found another P in Pacheco and his Ps are pretty distinct. You need to find how many Manuel Teixeira Nogueiras married Luizas. Maybe one of Luiza's parents was a Paiva and the other Costa. You won't know until you find their marriage.

I have Manuel Teixeira Nogueira cc Luzia da Costa Paiva, Nordeste. 15-May-1690. However, I just checked and cannot find that record, so may be it was recorded outside it's cronological order. Othwise I have no idea how I got that date. No Notes on the record. It was long ago.

I do have a few children, all from Nordeste -

Maria 01-Jul-1691 - the first;

Antonio da Costa Columbreiro abt 1695;

Ana Marques, 17Dec-1698

Francisco, 28-Nov 1704

Thanks to all.  I am now convinced the Luzia da Costa and Luzia de Paiva are the same person.  I believe this is the marriage JR referred to that shows her as Luzia da Costa Paiva (bottom right):

The groom's "Teixeira" looks more like "Frra" which I took as Ferreira.  However, their daughter Ana's baptism that I posted in this thread has a margin note for a certificate on 7 Feb 1777 exactly like on this marriage.

I found two of Luzia's brothers: Paulo de Paiva Columbreiro:

However, for this record of Paulo, we observe a unique situation when analyzing his date of birth: his father (Manoel de Paiva) would have been only 17 years old, which we can assume means that the child's paternal grandparents may have been older. son, Manoel, born before 1638. This will be a point to be researched.

Frutuoso indicates that the parents of Ana Marques, wife of Manoel de Paiva, were Marcos Fernandes da Costa and Ana Marques, and according to the birth of Manoel de Paiva, his parents were Nicolau de Paiva (son of Pedro Vaz and Maria Fernandes: https://culturacores.azores.gov.pt/biblioteca_digital/SMG-ND-SAOJORGE-B-1563-1629/SMG-ND-SAOJORGE-B-1563-1629_item1/index.html?page=28) and Maria da Costa.
