Hello everyone!

I'm having trouble deciphering what the priest wrote in this death certificate for Francisco Carreiro, Emerecianna Rezendes' husband. I can't understand the last six lines after the phrase "...in this parish his wife..." Could you help me with this?

I'm looking for Emerecianna's death certificate, so I'd like to understand this death.

Hi Fabio,

"Lições" means "readings," in this case, readings from the Holy Bible, Book of Job. In the Matins 3 nocturnal prayers are recited and in each of them, apart from the psalms, 3 readings are proclaimed, that is, 3x3=9. It is the Matinas that the priest calls "office of 9 lições". In the Ordinary Roman Rite (promolado by Pope Paul VI) Matinas has the name of "Office of Reading".

"hu.m officio de tres lições" is only one of them.

Best regards
