Margin note clarification

Can someone explain the margin note for Maria #17 on the right side of the page.  I tried translating but can't make sense of the entire contents.  No clue what the first phrase means then I believe it states there was a marriage on 29 Feb 1936 with Joao de (???) Delgado natural of the freguesia of Sao Pedro conselho de Villa Franca do Campo.  Then I don't know what it says before the date of 20 May 1936 nor after that date is written.

"A registrada contraiu casamento 'in articulo mortis' no dia 29 de Fevereiro de 1936 com João de Sousa Delgado, natural de freguesia de São Pedro, concelho de Vila Franco do Campo, cujo casamento foi ratificado no dia 20 de Maio de 1936.  

I believe this means she contracted marriage with Joao de Sousa Delgado on the brink of his death on 29 Feb 1936 which was ratified on 20 May 1936.  "in articulo mortis" is a latin phrase that means on the brink of death,  In the case of marriage, it gives urgency to bypass the normal banns and secure the rights of the spouse.

Thank you Bill.  I could not understand why the note referred to a marriage and a death and the way I was seeing the handwriting translations were not making any sense.

Hi Lisa.  The only reference to death is the phrase "in articulo mortis" so one of them died, or was expected to die, on or after that day.  I expect it was him (but it could have been her) and they wanted to secure the rights for the surviving spouse so expedited a marriage on the other spouse's death bed.  Too bad we don't have access to 1936 records.
