I will assume you mean Ponta Delgada on Sao Miguel island. I don't know what
cr...@dgrn.mi.pt is, but it is not Ponta Delgada on Sao Miguel island. It's mainland Portugal. It's kinda like you want a birth certificate from California, so you emailed the vital registry in Nebraska. They won't have it.

But for Povoacao, you need the Civil Registry in Povoacao:
I believe you need a Portuguese I.D. to get a recent (last 100 years) birth certificate. If you don't have a Portuguese I.D. card, then pay Joao Ventura the archivist to get it for you. He'll charge you for the record(s) and a couple of bucks for his time. heroi99 at
