Good morning,
Does anyone recognize this word that is at the bottom of Graciosa Island baptism records, just before the sentence where they mention the stamp?

I appreciate it.
Diane

Latin - 3 words run together. Era ut retro. As it was then.

Thank you! I suspected Latin. Now I see it clearly.

Good morning,

Would it be agreed that the transcription for this excerpt below (between the red arrows" is as follows?:

(the yellow highlighted areas below are the areas in question for me)

"E para coustar laorei em duplicado este assento que depois de ser lido e conferido perante o padrinho, quem tocou com a coroa, e o reverend baptestante, comigo assignaram"

E para constar lavrei em duplicado este assento que depois de ser lido e conferido perante o padrinho, quem tocou com a coroa, e o reverend baptestante, comigo assignaram.

I think the other 2 words are correct. I know "crown" is "coroa."

And to record this, I have drawn up this document in duplicate, which, after being read and verified before the godfather, who touched the crown, and the reverend attendant, was signed by me.

Here is my read "... proprios. E para constar lavrei em duplicado este assento que depois de ser lido e conferido perante o padrinho, quem tocou com a coroa, e o reverendo baptesante, comigo assignam. Era ut retro."

The section of the text stating ",quem tocou com a coroa (crown)," appears in the adjacent baptismal records as well.
