There is a list member out there... Joe from Mass - and we sent e-mails back and forth about the Knights Templar...both of us liking them and believing of their innocence.  I hope you are still a list member.  Heavens, perhaps it was the old Azores List.

We both had ancestors and "Uncles" who were members of the Order of Christ, the Portuguese Military Order.  Their ships had those gorgeous sails with the large red cross. You've seen them.

We, like the King of Portugal, did not believe in the accusations against the Knights Templar.  The King did not disband them...instead changed the name of the Knights Templars  to the Order of Christ.  And many of us with Botelho and Cabral ancestors have "Goncalo Velho Cabral" as an Uncle. He was a commander of the Order of Christ. No descendants as he never married.  Many call him  the discoverer of the Azores...but that is not so.  He colonized Santa Maria - remember Columbus and the village of Anjo and the chapel there. He had a lot to do with that chapel.  His statue is in the main plaza in Ponta Delgada.  That fellow in the middle of the plaza is Goncalo Velho Cabral.  Many of you who visited Ponta Delgada have pictures of him.

If any of you have been to Tomar in Portugal.  The Knights Templars had their headquarters in Tomar.  Today the church of the Order of Christ is impressive.  When one goes to Portugal, one has to visit this church. It is  a must see! It is a stop with most of the tours of Portugal

Many of you were interested in the pictures of Anjo.  I received a couple of letters asking me for more information.  I do have a picture..which shows the new chapel in Anjo and also the standing remains of the former chapel.  The chapel to the right in the picture...

Ah, Eloise! What a great item.

I had long been disgusted with the way the Templars were executed merely to steal the funds they possesed or in order to cancel debts they controlled.
Thanks ... this fits in very well with what I have studied over the years.

TRUTH     will provide us the opportunity to change the path of current history.

    Will we.
