Hi Natasha. I believe the age of emancipation at the time was 25 years rather than 18.
On that marriage record it says the bride was 18 and her parents were present to give consent. The groom was only 20 but didn't need consent because he had emancipation from his mother (father was deceased) by an order dated 13 Dec 1906. If that order exists, it would be likely filed as a judicial process at the archive in Angra.
