Help reading a marriage record - November 8, 1726 - Porto Formoso, S. Miguel

Hi,

I believe that I have found the record of Pedro Pacheco e Maria de Paiva's marriage on November 8, 1726 (left-hand side):

If I am not mistaken, it reads "(...) Pedro Pacheco, filho de Manuel de Sousa Fernandes e Maria Pacheco com Maria de Paiva, filha de Francisco Dias (?????) e (????)"

Can you please help me identify Maria de Paiva's parents?

Hi Carlos,

I've looked at this a couple of times over the weekend and it's just too faded to make out.

I have research notes from Porto Formoso. The ones from Canto start with the marriage after yours. These are not my research notes. I checked the Properties on the Word Doc to see who the author was and none is listed.

Then I checked Rodrigo Rodrigues and he had this:

8 -          Pedro Pacheco, casou no Porto Formoso a 8.11.1726, com Maria de Paiva, filha de Francisco Dias Pacheco e Eva de Paiva.

Tiveram:

9 -    João Pacheco, que segue:

9 -    Ana Pacheco, casou no Porto Formoso a 28.8.1751, com Manuel Cabral Leite, filho de Manuel Cabral Teixeira e Teresa Cabral.

9 -    Filipa de Jesus, do Porto Formoso. Casou na Matriz Ribeira Grande a 25.10.1766, com José de Sousa Pereira, filho de Tomé de Sousa Pereira e Antónia de Teves.

He has a bit more on the parents of Pedro Pacheco.

You nailed it! 

"9- Ana Pacheco, casou no Porto Formoso a 28.8.1751, com Manuel Cabral Leite, filho de Manuel Cabral Teixeira e Teresa Cabral."

All names and dates match exactly the next generation. 

So, 8 - Pedro Pacheco, casou no Porto Formoso a 8.11.1726, com Maria de Paiva, filha de Francisco Dias Pacheco e Eva de Paiva must be correct marriage record.
