Repost for Larry,  quinncounseling at gmail.com

I have a 5th great grandfather (Antonio Manuel) who reportedly was picked up off the Portugal coast by a British Man of War.
Verbal family history simply says he was picked up off the shore of Portugal as a child.  My DNA shows associations with the islands of Pico and Faial.  He was in NYC at the end of the Revolutionary War and died in Ontario in approx 1816.  Best guess is that he was born in 1750s.
I see different spellings of the surname in the document you posted and "Manuel"  seems prominent, so I'm interested in the writing.  Do you have a date for the document, or translation?

Larry
