Assistance Locating My Grandmother’s Birth Certificate

Good afternoon,

I have asked about this previously, but I would greatly appreciate any assistance someone in the group may be able to provide.

I have been having difficulty using the website that was recommended to me. Whenever I enter the information, the search returns a “Not Found” message.

I am trying to obtain a copy of my grandmother’s birth certificate. The information I have is:

• Name: Angelina A. P. Barros
• Date of birth: April 21, 1898
• Place of birth: Madalena do Mar, Madeira, Portugal
• Father: Manuel Nunes Pereira Barros
• Mother: Quiteria Joaquina
• Date of baptism: July 7, 1901
• Church: Church of Saint Mary Magdalene

I also know that Angelina, her brother Francisco, and their aunt Anna Barros departed Madalena do Mar aboard the SS Cretic in March 1917, bound for Boston, Massachusetts.

Any guidance on how I might locate her birth or baptismal record would be sincerely appreciated.
