Im just wondering if anyone has heard from Joao Ventura, the Genealogist. I tried emailing him  but haven't heard back. I hope he is okay.

João emailed me, but it did take a bit of time. São Joaninas just started there and he does take care of his mom, so sometimes it takes him a while.

I know that he runs a used bookstore during the San Joaninas feast... I've been to his store whenever I'm there... lots of interesting old books... so I'm sure he's pretty busy...
