Can anyone suggest their favorite source for online Portuguese Ancestry whether it is a paid subscription service or not?  I am just curious if there are some out there that I am not aware and currently thinking I might need to pay for a service since I am having trouble locating some records.  Any and all suggestions would be appreciated for what the favorites might be for Portugal and the Azores!

R Downey,
With Portuguese records, it's easy. Use tombo.pt to access the Azores, mainland Portugal, or Madeira. It's a one stop collection of the Portuguese records.

What you see here on Azores List is about the best source there is. Unless you want more recent American documents, I wouldn't waste your money.  Don't forget, there is no one out there translating and posting Portuguese documents for free. The sources you already have, plus this site, and the free https://www.familysearch.org/en/home/, is the best there is. Just keep researching and posting and someone will help. This really is a generous and knowledgeable group.

I also have gotten lots of information from the Pirtuguese American Digitized Newspapers at The Claire T Carney Library.  Here’s the link.  They have info on people who lived in Nee England but names of relatives in California in obituaries .  Maybe this could help.

Thanks!  For sure this group has helped so much!  I just wanted to make sure that I was using the right resources to not over post here!  Just in case I was missing some!  Thanks so much,  Rene

Rene,
If you have ancestors on Pico &/or Faial you can also go here: http://ghp.ics.uminho.pt and click on genealogy and you can search by your village or if you have lines in Sao Jorge you can go to saojorgegenealogy.org and get lots of info: indexes, books, military records etc.
