I'm researching my Great Grandfather and cannot figure out his parents names, mainly trying to trace my last name as far back as I can and I'm stuck, any help would be appreciated.

B.1864 – D.1924

BIRTH 5 MAR 1864 • Calheta, Azores, Portugal (Not 100% sure on his place of birth)

DEATH 30 APR 1924 • Oakland, Alameda Co, California

Spouse:  Caroline (Carrie) Avelar B.1874 - D.1926   Married in California 8/22/1890

Children:  Laurence, Margaret, Fredrick, Marie, Anselmo Jr, Caroline, Clement (All children born in the USA)
