For those of you in/near the Sacramento area you might want to take in this Portuguese Food Festa and Wine Release Party this weekend Aug. 18 & 19.  I have been to it a couple of times and it was fun and we enjoyed the food but the malasadas we had were not like the flat DELICIOUS malasadas my sister's in law's mother used to make way back when.  Prices, etc. are on their website:  www.CarvalhoFamilyWInery.com

Looks great!  The description says $32.95 each.  I'm assuming this is for the port?  Is it kid friendly (the event, not the port)?

Here is the address from the web site and description for those not wanting to find it on the site.  Thanks E!

Bill,

I know we had to pay to for the food and glasses of wine every other time we have been there. I think it is $32.95 each for the event, not the wine, or $24.72 each for the event if you are one of their Wine Club members. The few times we went it was not quite as expensive. I could be wrong, you could always call to be sure. They also had music. I have seen children there when we went but I have not been there the past couple of years and we did not take children. We had a nice time when we did go.

Thanks!  We'll be going tomorrow.  I just called and the price is for
the port.  No entry fee.  Pay as you consume ;-)
