My husband's Grandparents and Great-Grandparents

Good Morning

I am doing my husband's family tree as well.  I am looking for information on his grandparents, and great-grandparents their names are Manuel Aruajo Pimentel(his parents: Antonio Pimentel and Maria da Gloria) and Maria Da Conceicao Pacheco(her parents: Manuel Pereira and Carmen -not sure if this is the correct name,but what I was given years ago) .

His dad and mom came and worked in Bermuda and had my father-in-law and then eventually went back to the Azores.  

My father in law said his family was from Vila Franca do Campo.

I have Manuel Araujo Pimentel's date of birth being 1 April, 1899 but nothing else, don't know when he got married or where, and when Maria Da Conceicao Pacheco was born and where.  Would there be passports for them as they travelled here to Bermuda to work?  Also any information on the great grandparents would be appreciated as well.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I did a search and found a possible aunt for your husband: Ruth C. Lourenco who died in 2019 in E. Providence, Rhode Island. It this your family?

Here is a Manuel Araujo Pimentel heading to Bernuda in 1924 at the age of 25 that would match the birth year you gave. It states he's from Agua d' Alto in VFdC. #326, 5th one from the top.

It mentions his marriage to Maria in the margin so now you have a date.

Have you contacted relatives in Rhode Island to see if they have any additional information?

I did a search of baptismal records for Vila Franca do Campo, Sao Miguel, Azores and found nothing for Manuel son of Antonio Pimentel and Maria da Gloria. I searched all the records of 1899 and April to June 1898, in case the year was off by one. No records found. More clues might be needed to zero in on these people.

NOT SURE IF YOU KNOW, THAT MANUEL WAS A TWIN TO ANTONIO WHO IS LISTED BEFORE HIM, NUMBER 15 .
