Misplaced PD Sao Jose Index?

This is strange.  There seems to be at least a partial index of marriages for 1894 and 1895 in Sao Jose in the book for Sao Jose marriages from 1889.

Image 300 has pages 19v and 20 with marriage #s 43 and 44.

Images 301 - 304 indexes some marriages 5 years later.

Image 305 has pages 20v and 21 with marriage #s 45 and 46.

It looks like someone started an index, folded it in half longways, and inserted it in the middle of the book. Yeah, kinda weird.
