Thursday, February 21 is Geeks' Night Out! It is organized by the City of Tempe as part of the Az SciTech Festival, and is going to be held outside the Tempe City Hall (31 E. 5th St.). There will be many booths there, with one highlighting nanotechnology that is a collaboration between Rio Salado College, the NanoFab facility at ASU, Science Foundation Arizona, and Penn State University.
The event runs from 5 pm to 10 pm. The nanotech booth will showcase the real-time remote control of a scanning electron microscope, applications of super-hydrophobic coatings, as well as many other interesting demos. It's going to be a fun evening. For more info, see the event listed as "Under a Microscope" in the section called "Apps, Microscopes and Tesla!" at http://www.tempe.gov/index.aspx?page=2679, or contact Ray Tsui (Raymon...@asu.edu).
