Azkanviroum Event--April 11

Hi Mentors,

 

Sorry for the double email.  Some of you are not receiving emails from our google group so I put everyone's personal email on this as well.

 

Just as an FYI and a follow up to the last meeting we had with Dr. Karayan and Harut DerTavitian at Araz and Razmig's house...

 

We are all meeting at the Pasadena AGBU Center on Saturday, April 11, at 11 a.m..  The Kids will be arriving at noon and staying until 3p.m.  For the first hour, Mr. DerTavitian will present a casual lecture on Vartan Mamigonian. Then, we'll all do activities for about an hour.  We will have a light lunch, and we will also be able to break up into small groups with our own mentees.  We can even do a fun competition----quiz like game...? What do you think?

 

Our activities committee--Talia, Arpie, Raquel and Sareen--should keep in contact with one another and come up with some games (educational, social, and ice-breaker style) that can keep us occupied for about 45 minutes. 

 

Finaly, all of us should contact our mentees this week and invite them for Saturday..at least touch base.  Their parents will be receiving informative, invitation-like letters as well.

For me, Briana is coming (so I assume Carina and Christian are coming too).  Alison can't make it b/c of a wedding her parents are in.
