In The Sims 4, you are given different options to bring a dead Sim back to life. You will use different methods like Ambrosia to bring dead Sim back to life. This guide will cover all the methods you can use to bring a dead Sim back to life in Sims 4.
Once you have all three ingredients required to cook Ambrosia, you can let your skilled chef cook it for you. It is guaranteed that a dead Sim will be resurrected after eating this dish. Even normal Sim can eat it for going back to the early stage of their life.
You can also bring back your Sim by using the cheat. You must first access the cheat console by pressing Ctrl + Shift + C. After that, enter the TestingCheats true to activate the cheats. Now you can enter the death. Toggle, and it will disable the death of your Sim.

Playable Ghosts
Even if a ghost was your Sim's husband, relationship will decay at the normal rate and thus levels may fall. In order to play as a ghost, you can simply befriend one each time it visits and then ask it to join your household. If you don't mind cheating, you can easily use testingcheats on and shift-click the ghost when it visits, click add to family. If you wait it out, you should be able to befriend them within 2-3 visits and get them to rejoin the family.
If you have sims that died on their home lot and there are no living sims left on the lot, it's possible to move a new sim into their lot and give the lot the "haunted" trait. After a few sim days the ghosts of the ones that died on the lot should pop in to scare the living. Cheat-add them to that household and you should be able to manipulate then from there... I've tried it and it worked before. dunno if it'll work the same after "haunted" became a 'challenge' rather than a 'trait' .... couldn't hurt to try tho, i guess... love the name btw
The Resurrect-O-Nomitron is the Paranormal Career reward, it allows you to bring back to life dead sims like deseased ancestors and relatives, or deseased sims that you knew when they were alive. In order to do this you have to offer a sum of money to the Grim Reaper, if you offer him a large bid then he will bring the deseased sim back exactly as they were before dying, intead if you offer him a low bid then the resurrection could fail or the sim could be brought back as a zombie.
Note: If you can't move sim in, there is an easy way to obtain sim's tombstone without building relationships and without cheats. Find (or create) a sim with kleptomaniac trait, click somewhere near the tombstone and ask to steal something. Interaction appears only at night and available only when sim is alone. There is a good chance that sim will grab the tombstone, especially when there is no other objects nearby. It's a good method for getting ghosts from public graveyards.
Sims can use the Book of Life to resurrect other Sims. The Book of Life can only be written by a Sim that has mastered the writing skill and completed the "Bestselling Author" aspiration. Each Book of Life can be used to resurrect a single Sim, though the action "Capture Epic Saga" must be used on the target Sim before that Sim dies. After the Sim dies, the book can be used to summon them back to life.
Ghosts can make a wish to the Whispering Wishing Well, included in The Sims 4: Romantic Garden Stuff, to be brought back to life. There are several possible outcomes from a wish, depending on the mood of the well. The well's mood can be improved by making an offering to the well.
If using testingcheats, you can shift click the Sim you want to bring back to life and add them to your family. Once done, shift click the Sim and click "Make Happy". Then, shift click on the wishing well and select "Force Overwhelmingly Positive Outcomes". While controlling the Sim that has passed away, click the wishing well and select "Wish For Life". This should bring them back.
A Sim who dies while you're actively playing their household leaves a grave marker (a gravestone if placed outdoors, or an urn if placed indoors) at the site of their death. This can be moved to a more convenient location in Build Mode, and it serves as a reminder of their life and legacy. Quite a vivid reminder, actually, since sooner or later a ghost of said Sim will emerge: looking much as they did in life, except more... translucent.
Unlike most other occult creature types in The Sims 4, you can't create ghosts in Create-A-Sim. Ghosts were introduced as a bonus rather than a big new feature, and so if you want a playable one you're meant to wait for a Sim to die (or help them along in that direction, you murderer) and then have another Sim invite them to move back in, as detailed in Method 1.
